Welcome to 7th grade Civics! I am excited to see what this year has in store for us!
This year we will be exploring Civics, Geography, and Economics. The majority of the content for the course pertains to the principles, functions, and organization of government; the origins of the American political system; the roles, rights, and responsibilities of United States citizens; and elections. Your child will be taking the Florida Civics End of Course Exam (EOC) in the Spring. This is a state test that assesses the information your child learned in Civics from the beginning of the year until the test. It is worth 30% of your child's Civics grade. Therefore it is very important that your child is at school and working diligently. We will have an EOC review before the exam, but your child can get year-long help by clicking on the EOC Review/Practice links. |
